Dwarf Sour Cherries (Prunus cerasus L.)

The University of Saskatchewan has bred the dwarf sour cherry specifically for the Prairies. They posses the following attributes:

  • Dwarf Sour CherriesExceptional cold hardiness
  • A “dwarf” growing habit to enable mechanized harvest and ease of orchard maintenance
  • A superior flavor and quality suitable for both the family fruit bowl and processing application
  • By year 4, plants are well established and producing fruit.
