Prairie Plant Systems continues to develop its vision to leverage the strengths of GMP plant-based manufacturing within the Biosecure Growth Chambers (BGC) to produce therapeutic and industrial proteins. Prairie Plant Systems is establishing its own novel production platforms.
The Company has established a Plant-Made- Pharmaceutical (PMP) platform using a legume model yielded a significantly strong expression level of the targeted therapeutic protein. These early evaluations suggest that this expression level may be economically viable. This is a very significant breakthrough for the Company in continuing its overall strategic plan.
The tuber based PMP development activities are exploring three ways for transformation, two of which are completely new approaches. The team has made excellent progress in creating new promoters which will be critical to the potentially successful tuber express PMP platform.
